Yea, take a look at these Peninsular Malaysia-based news reports and narratives.

So, when I read a news media provided by "Kosmo!", which I believe is based in Peninsular Malaysia, I noticed many issues in how the news is delivered, including biased ideas regarding their "main" political parties in Sabah. They mentioned only one Sabah-based political party: "Gabungan Rakyat Sabah" (GRS), and the other main political parties in Sabah they referenced are based in Peninsular Malaysia: "PH - Pakatan Harapan" and "PN - Perikatan Nasional". Only then did they finally make an "honourable" mention of two Sabah-based political parties: "Warisan" and "KDM," they said. Yes, you are correct; they did not even provide the full name for the "KDM" political party. KDM stands for Kesejahteraan Demokrasi Masyarakat.

I have a question: are these attempts to minimise and take for granted Sabah-based political parties, which "Kosmo!" categorised as "others" in their news report?

Now, let us get back to Malaysia's central government-led responses to the Sabah High Court's instruction for the central government to review and re-study how much they have failed to pay Sabah 40% of its rights to its own natural resources, as stated in the Malaysia Agreement 1963—an agreement made by all founding partners of Malaysia, including Sabah, Sarawak, and Peninsular Malaysia.

Kosmo!: "KUALA LUMPUR – Kerajaan Persekutuan menghormati keputusan Mahkamah Tinggi Kota Kinabalu di Sabah pada 17 Oktober lalu berhubung Kajian Semula Pemberian Khas Persekutuan kepada Sabah."

I think it is not "kerajaan persekutuan" or in English, "federal government". The more accurate term for it is "kerajaan pusat" or "central government". Why? Thanks to past politicians, in Malay language they said "penyeragaman kuasa", but in English, it is explained to me that it is actually "centralisation" of power in Malaysia. The people in Peninsular Malaysia reported that their "Malaysia" has become advanced under those politicians they voted for. They admire the politicians and thank them for making Malaysia more advanced.

But actually, here in Sabah and Sarawak, I often hear the people of Sabah and Sarawak complain a lot about central-led government policies, approaches, and actions, saying that the central government only knows how to exploit Sabah and Sarawak's natural resources. "Is this what we get when we trust them?" Yes, I want to say that oral sources of evidence and real-life stories are the primary sources of history and reporting, especially in places where the people are oppressed and exploited, including by neo-colonists. Therefore, there is no need to mock or belittle these oral sources from the Sabah and Sarawakian people.

The central-led government to delay, saying "we are studying these under MA63". They portray MA63 as a "special grant" (me: "since when was it a 'special grant' when in MA63 it is actually Sabah and Sarawak's fundamental rights agreed upon by all founding partners of Malaysia, including the now-called 'Peninsular Malaysia' itself?")

So, as I mentioned in previous articles, those who defend the oppressions are most likely benefiting directly or indirectly from the oppression themselves. When I read this one, do they just have the option to accept that in Sabah we need to work harder to get electricity? (Sabah Electricity refused to install electricity in some houses, like my family's, while they are benefiting from Sabah's terrains and resources to generate electricity, only for us to be pushed back with their excuses that the places where we built our houses are considered only temporary by them). We need to work harder to get high-speed internet (yes, even in inhabited places like villages, they think, what? We must use citizen radio services to access Facebook and Mastodon? How does that work?). So, I think the central government must FULLY accept our concerns, complaints, and criticisms because our oral narratives are the FIRST source of historical injustices and evidence.

Terdahulu, Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan (PN-Kota Bharu) membantah sesi penerangan khas tersebut kerana didakwa boleh menyebabkan subjudis memandangkan Kerajaan Persekutuan masih boleh mengemukakan rayuan terhadap keputusan Mahkamah Tinggi Kota Kinabalu.

Yeah, Kosmo! Instead of feeling fulfilled and happy, I feel discomfort and slightly angry towards Kosmo!'s article, especially how Kosmo! have written it. I don't know why Kosmo! felt it necessary to include "central government can appeal"; yes, you heard it right. Is Kosmo! trying to suggest that the central-led government can further appeal to deny Sabah’s fundamental rights, as agreed by all founding partners of Malaysia, including the now-called "Peninsular Malaysia"? Kosmo! please do not defend injustices. Stay true to integrity and justice. Your reporting can be improved, or please refund my money.

Yeah, that's all I want to say now.

Edit

So, yeah. It seems like the "Geran Khas" is really written inside the constitution. However, my narrative needs to assert this more; it is a right and not something to be treated as discretion or optional. It needs to be further emphasised as a "fundamental right" because all regions agreed to MA63. The voices of the Sabahan people, stating this or further asserting that those 40%, matter. They reflect the true hardships faced by the Sabahan people, including the natives and those living in rural areas, among others.

Regarding the "deflecting accusations" by the central-led government, their deflection (only to maintain an image?) can always be seen by me as a lack of responsibility and accountability. It is always ethically questionable for exploiters to deflect; it shows, therefore, a lack of responsibility, empathy, and remorse.

Saya nak sentuh pasal dua
